Paia Electronics was founded in the 1960s and specialized in DIY synthesizer kits. The Paia 2700 (1972) was one of the first affordable modular synthesizers. The Paia Gnome (1976) was a portable, simple synthesizer for experimental music. The Paia Fatman (1992) was an analog monophonic synthesizer well-suited for MIDI control.
