Sequential was founded in 1978 by Dave Smith and revolutionized polyphonic synthesizers. The Prophet-5 (1978) was the first polyphonic synthesizer with memory storage. The Six-Trak (1984) was one of the first multitimbral synthesizers. The Prophet X (2018) combined digital samples with analog synthesis.
