The Yamaha SHS series, known as keytars, features portable synthesizers with built-in speakers and MIDI functionality. Models like the SHS-10 and SHS-200 offered a mix of portable playability and innovative sounds. Especially in the 80s, these keytars were used in live performances and by synthpop bands, making them icons of retro music.
