My first synthesizer, bought in 1997 for a fabulously low price, was the Korg MS-20, which I still own. In the beginning I tinkered for my brother's bass stomboxes. The circuits came from the book "Electronic projects for musicians" by Craig Anderton.
Then came the Doepfer MAQ 16/3 as a DIY project from Elektor magazine.
My technical skills outweighed my musical skills and so the idea to offer spare parts and service for synthesizers and keyboards.
The notaufnahme was born.
